Chobe safaris are considered one of the best in Africa, on a par with the Masai Mara in Kenya and the Serengeti in Tanzania. Safari lodges in Chobe offer both on land safaris on 10-seater open land rovers and safari cruises in high-speed flat-bottomed boats along the full-flowing Chobe River (Zambezi tributary). In addition to the huge number of elephants, the reserve also inhabited by lions, leopards, many buffalo and hippopotamuses, giraffes, zebras, about 15 species of antelopes, hyenas, cheetahs, crocodiles and other reptiles, about 350 species of birds.
